We do not work on any Late Model water-cooled vehicles, Volkswagen cars later than 1979, Volkswagen Buses later than 1971, or Type IV Volkswagens.

ABOUT HICKS VW

Hicks VW Service has been servicing VW’s nationwide for over 30 years. Even though we are located in Durham, NC, we have serviced and restored air cooled Volkswagens from all over the world. We have a reputation in the Volkswagen community for our fully stocked parts department, servicing on all makes and models of most air cooled VW’s.

With over 140 years of combined experience, our mechanics are knowledgeable and fully trained in VW service. Our shop offers high quality, honest, prompt and reliable service in a friendly environment. We work with our customers to fully explain all information and explain what is needed in simple terms. It’s your car, your investment and we want you to be fully informed on the condition of your VW from the diagnostic and mechanical standpoint.

Our parts department is stocked with the most common and unique VW parts. If you want it, we have it and if we don’t, we’ll get it for you. Just give us a call!

BOB HICKS

with over 46 years of VW service, Bob has turned his hobby into a great passion for Bugs, Beetles and Buses and has a great reputation for building high quality VW engines. His standards are set high. Bob is your true North Carolina mechanic who also loves to ride motorcycles in his free time.

Mechanic

MARK DILLON

with over 37 years of VW experience, this man can fix anything. And if he can’t, he’ll figure out how to fix it for you. Volkswagens are second nature to Mark and again, Bob is very happy to have him working here at Hicks.

Shop Manager

CHAD HICKS

is the shop manager. He is Bob’s son and grew up in the VW world (in the shop) and knows all about customer service. He is the glue that keeps the business together and looks forward to helping you
with your VW needs.
